The blue glow of the screens reflect on the man’s face as he stared tiredly at each one seeing…nothing. There had been somewhat of a supposed rise in theft and missing products in certain stores. Unaccounted for by employees and unseen by any of the security guards. But enough had gone missing to cause numerous customer complaints and merit the call of Paxton, just some police officer with too much free time. [break][break]

As far as he was concerned, this all seemed like just the frenzy of the holidays affecting people, but he’d been assured things weren’t right. So, there he sat, bored and alone. Just barely on the brink of passing out. His head tipped down, chin tucking into his chest. Ollie sat at attention, in his lap, staring wide eyed at screens. TV like for most kids, enraptured the young cat pokemon. Even f nothing was going on, something about it seemed to put the meowth under a spell. [break][break]

And then he spotted something moving. Something….that could’ve just been a speck of dust he was staring at. But no. Ollie’s head snapped to attention moving from screen to screen as the feeds swapped on their pattern. No, unmistakably. Something was going on. “MROW!” The blonde jerked up slightly to see his lapcat pawing at the screen displaying a specific store. It’s a little ways away from their location but close enough he can make it if he fast walked. Ollie is already on the ground and at the door, ready to investigate with him. “Ok, ok…” he muttered not even knowing what the cat was after but figuring it was as good a time as any to go for a walk. [break][break]

Ollie takes off like a shot, and Paxton jogged to keep up before the Meowth skidded to a halt and crept towards the store in question. “You wanna go in or wait?” he asked as the cat gave him big eyes. Paxton sighed, reaching for a set of borrowed keys while his cat eagerly awaited to rush in.
